# 2015

It’s that time again. Time to look back at another successful year of life and reflect on meaningful events, accomplishments, and what have you. There is much to be thankful for. These are just the highlights.

  • Goodbyes. My family said goodbye (for now) to my grandmother, whom I knew as “Nana”. I’m thankful for the impact she has had on my life, and so many others, and know that she’s with her maker now. Just a few months later, we also said goodbye to Nicholas Nichols, my Nana’s husband (my step-grandfather), a fine gentleman.
  • I deactivated my Facebook account. Aside from logging in once when when I was notified that someone was trying to reset my password, I haven’t used my account at all. I’ve been surprised with how little I’ve missed that distraction machine.
  • Participated in a family beach trip to Litchfield Beach, SC with 16 other family members. We had a blast.
  • Visited North Carolina’s Outer Banks for the first time during Friendcation OBX Beach Trip
  • Lacey and I attended weddings like it was our job! (Chapman & Lowe, Jaques & Page, Thomas & Julia). So many fun parties!
  • Enjoyed good times with my family during the Thanksgiving break, and with Lacey’s family during the Christmas break. We’re really thankful for our families and what they mean to us.
  • Got to see the Punch Brothers at the Bijou Theatre in Knoxville with Lacey.
