Free Christmas EP: Christmas at Farlow Drive

My sisters and I got together one Saturday morning month or so ago to try and get some Christmas tunes recorded. It was hard for all three of us because we can be perfectionists, and this EP is far from perfect. Nevertheless, we’ve decided to blast it out there for your enjoyment. So enjoy, and feel free to spread the word!

The Civil Wars at The Pilot Light

On February 22, The Civil Wars played at The Pilot Light in Knoxville’s Old City. The small venue was packed tightly. Lacey and I were literally the last two people to make it through the door around 7:45pm. Two hours and 45 minutes later, John Paul White and Joy Williams took the stage

The duo has a fun, passionate, and humble presence on stage. They’ll tell you how lucky they feel to just be there, and then blow your mind and make you feel the same. Their amazing harmonies are accompanied only by a minimal (but delish) amount of instrumentation, primarily from one of John Paul’s guitars.

This was my first time seeing The Civil Wars live, but I really hope it wasn’t my last. They are a joy to catch live.

I also shot video of a couple of their songs:
